Just throwing in an update on how the setup is going.

* The Grief Prevention plugin will be used for player area protection. You can find info on it here: http://dev.bukkit.org/server-mods/grief-prevention/

* Chicken Chunks and Mystcraft will be disabled.

* We will be using FTB Ultimate.

* Player cap will be 30 for now.

* Past Donators will be honored with the following. (Not a full list of commands yet)
Ancient Rank.
- Nickname command
- 5 set home locations (instead of 2)

(Kit includes: 1 stack of iron ore, 1 stack of refined iron, 1 stack of copper ore, 1 stack of tin ore, 3 Solar panels, 1 stack of rubber, 1 stack of redstone, 1 stack of insulated copper wire, jetpack, 21 diamonds, 2 bat boxes, 1 macerator, 1 electric furnace, 1 generator, increased land protection size, wand of lightning, 3 chicken, cow, and sheep eggs, philosophers stone, and some charms of keeping.)

The kit is designed to give returning donators a big advantage in starting out. The machines themselves with GregTech active will give a great tech lead as well (Especially the macerator).

1) Previous Players who donated for special ranks, will still have their donations honored, and will be given a special rank, and abilities on the server no one else save them will ever possess. They will also be granted a special one time use kit.
2) Donator ranks, except the previous mentioned, will not really exist. There will be a few ranks for Recruit, Builder, and veterans - however they will not be by donation, and must be earned by playing on the server.
3) There will not be Towny or Factions. Area protection will be provided to each player via a plugin, with the ability to add other players to your area if you so wish it.
4) As Donations go, they will be more micro-transaction related, ranging from a few cents to a few dollars, and will feature hard to achieve items and materials.
5) Spawn is being kept simple, and placed in a reasonable protected area via World Guard. There will be no rules restricting building along the boarders of spawn.
6) The server rules are simple, literal, and not open to opinion or debate.
7) Very few items will be banned, restricted or blacklisted. The only items being removed, are those that can bypass area protection (such as a mining laser for example).
8) There will be no world border.
9) iConomy and ChestShops will be available, but there will not be a central market. I assume people wanting to lay claim to a shopping area will do so near spawn.

I think that pretty much covers everything.

We're still working on the plugin setup, but I hope we can open tonight.
